Where stories are made.NORTH DEAN MILL STUDIOS · POLICY REVIEW
These policies include the agreed studio rules. Marked details are still being finalised before public bookings open.
Review draft — 2 October 2026. Read with the cancellation/refund policy. The owner-selected legal operator is identified below. Marked operational and legal-review items remain outstanding before publication.
Your service provider is NORTH DEAN TRADING LTD, trading as North Dean Mill Studios. Company number 15054395. Registered office: 128 City Road, London, United Kingdom, EC1V 2NX. The studio is at North Dean Mill, Stainland Road, Greetland, Halifax, HX4 8LS. Email bookings@ndms.uk about bookings and hello@ndms.uk about general concerns.
The person making the booking must be authorised to do so and give accurate contact, project and attendee information. The person entering the contract must be 18 or over. Under-18 guests may attend only by prior arrangement and with adult supervision and appropriate permissions. Discuss any additional safeguarding needs in advance. Podcast sessions allow up to three people speaking, including any host, and up to three additional team observers, giving six people attending in total. TikTok pods allow up to two people speaking at once, including any host, and a maximum of three people inside each pod at any one time, including any observer. Observer attendance requires prior agreement. Give the total number attending, including observers, before approval; recording positions are not a limit for safe total occupancy.
The payment request states how long the offered slot is held. An unpaid offer may expire and the slot may be released after that deadline. Contact us if you need a replacement link; do not assume an expired offer remains available.
Prices are in pounds sterling. Your approved quote includes the selected services and extras; additional work requires your agreement to its scope and price first. A future price change does not change an existing agreed booking automatically.
After approval you may pay the 50% deposit shown on the payment request or pay the full price. The deposit is part-payment, not an additional fee or an automatically non-refundable charge. The remaining balance is due 48 hours before the session starts. Short-notice bookings approved within 48 hours require payment in full; the available payment options are shown before checkout.
Stripe processes online payments. We do not receive or store full card numbers or card security codes. We do not automatically charge a saved card for your remaining balance: use the secure balance-payment link. Keep the payment link private. Contact the studio to agree any offline payment arrangement and obtain a record of it.
If your balance is overdue, contact us promptly. We will explain the outstanding amount and the action required before your session. Staff manage overdue bookings; the system does not automatically impose a penalty. If a booking must be cancelled, the cancellation policy and any applicable statutory rights govern the refund. No additional late-payment, damage or overtime charge will be collected automatically from a card under these terms.
Sessions run daily between 09:00 and 22:00, subject to availability and closures. Times are local UK time (Europe/London), including seasonal clock changes.
TikTok pods are available at 10:00–14:00, 15:00–17:00 and 18:00–22:00. Each pod is independently booked: The Loom, The Foundry, The Spindle or The Engine Room. The allocated pod appears in the booking details.
For TikTok and podcast sessions, you have 15 minutes free setup before the booked start and 15 minutes free packing after the booked finish. Setup during booked time uses your paid session and does not extend it. Free packing does not extend recording or broadcasting. The final evening packing period ends at 22:15. Late arrival normally does not move the end time; contact us if you are delayed. Any extension depends on availability and an agreed additional price.
Your booking confirmation states setup access and packing finish times. We reserve those allowances so another session cannot overlap them; they are not additional paid recording time. Any further internal reset time is for the studio and is not extra recording time.
The approved booking summary records your package, duration, chosen look and inclusions. The podcast area supports one production at a time, with Black, Oak and Heritage Blue set options; these are not three simultaneously bookable podcast studios. Current podcast packages include up to three microphone positions, multi-camera recording, lighting, an operator, basic dressing with existing props and raw recorded files.
Publish includes one edited episode up to 60 minutes from up to 90 minutes of source footage, an audio export, basic audio cleanup/levelling, camera switching and basic colour, use of your supplied intro/outro/logo, and one revision. Promote adds five captioned vertical clips up to 60 seconds each and one thumbnail made from a session still. Different scope or further revisions require a separate agreed quote. You will not be charged twice for an item already included in your package.
TikTok pod bookings include DJI wireless microphones with noise cancellation, a USB-C phone connection and charger, a mobile phone tripod, lighting, internet, power and host support. Bring your phone and account access, and check unusual device/accessory requirements with us beforehand. Platform account restrictions or third-party outages are outside our control; we still remain responsible for supplying our agreed studio service with reasonable care and skill.
Raw files within 3 working days of the session; first edited delivery within 10 working days after the session and receipt of all required assets/instructions; one consolidated revision requested within 7 days of the first edited delivery; studio copies retained for 90 days after final delivery, then deleted, subject to a specific legal retention requirement or an expressly agreed archive arrangement. Customers must download and keep their own copies. Agree a revised schedule in writing if the scope changes or essential materials arrive late. These limits do not reduce rights to correction of a defective service.
Our selected delivery method is a private Google Drive folder for your project, shared only with the agreed authorised contact and relevant production staff. We will confirm the access arrangements before delivery. Download, check and back up your files promptly. Tell us about a delivery or technical issue as soon as possible. Any material delay, loss or failure on our side will be discussed with you and handled under your contractual and statutory rights; the storage period is not a waiver of those rights. Account/provider processing arrangements must be completed before this method is used for customer media.
We will agree any longer archive or project-file delivery separately. Editable project files, licensed third-party assets and our reusable templates are not automatically included in raw/final media delivery. Before publication: confirm the storage and transfer service, access permissions, archive process and whether editorial project files are ever included.
You retain rights in material you bring. You give us only the permission needed to record, edit, store and deliver the agreed project. Obtain appropriate participant, music, image, logo and other third-party permissions for your intended use. We will not knowingly publish unlawful or infringing material for you.
Proposed rights clause for legal review: on full payment, we assign to you the copyright we own in the bespoke final recordings and edits made for your booking, excluding our pre-existing tools/templates and third-party material. Where embedded pre-existing material is needed to use the delivered files, we grant an appropriate continuing licence for that use. Ensure staff/contractor agreements allow this promise before adopting it.
A booking is not permission for us to post your footage, guests' images or testimonials in our own marketing. That requires separate optional permission from the appropriate rights holders and identifiable participants. You may decline without affecting the service. The separate recording/publicity permission draft explains this.
Where we process personal information in your recordings solely on your documented instructions, a suitable controller–processor agreement must be agreed where required. It will specify purpose, security, confidentiality, approved subprocessors, assistance with rights/incidents and return/deletion. This policy does not substitute for that agreement.
Tell us attendee numbers, access needs and unusual equipment or activities before approval. Ask about the front entrance, stairs, lifts, parking and any essential accessibility requirement; these facilities must be verified rather than assumed from images.
Follow reasonable safety and equipment instructions, keep exits/walkways clear and respect staff and other visitors. Do not bring dangerous or unlawful items, tamper with studio systems or engage in abusive behaviour. Obtain agreement before activities involving significant noise, smoke, liquids, animals or other special risks. Observers and additional team members must be declared before approval. Attendance must stay within the agreed booking and the safe limits for the space.
We may pause an unsafe activity and explain what must change. Cancellation, damage and refund decisions must be proportionate and based on the circumstances, evidence and applicable law. You are not automatically liable for ordinary wear, unrelated faults or damage caused by our negligence. We do not impose an automatic damage deposit or fixed penalty under these terms.
Contact bookings@ndms.uk about changes; the cancellation/rescheduling policy applies. If we cannot provide the agreed service, we will tell you promptly and discuss a reasonable alternative or appropriate refund. You do not have to accept credit in place of a refund to which you are entitled.
We will provide services with reasonable care and skill. Tell us about a problem so we can investigate and put it right. Nothing excludes statutory remedies, liability for fraud, or death/personal injury caused by negligence. Any business-only liability limit needs review against the operator's insurance and agreed contract; none is invented here.
For a complaint, email hello@ndms.uk with your booking reference, what happened and your requested resolution. Our website terms explain the complaint process. Applicable consumer cancellation rights take priority over any less favourable commercial cancellation rule.
